ARRA 15 Seminar - Fruit Master, Australia

In July, Fruit Master (which together with Romeo’s Best is one of the two ARRA ™agents in Australia) hosted an ARRA 15 seminar specifically for ARRA 15 growers. As the season is fast approaching and this year a larger volume of fruit is expected, Fruit Master felt that such a seminar would be an opportunity to review the production process with the growers.

ARRA 15 Presentation

The seminar was presented by Fruit Master agronomist, Alysson Barbosa Viera. Alysson has broad experience with the ARRA 15 variety having worked previously for several years with the variety in Brazil before moving to Fruit Master in 2016.

The comprehensive seminar included informative discussions on all aspects of ARRA 15 production including; fertigation, disease management, berry sizing, stretching and cultural practices.

The challenges faced by the growers were also discussed and it was emphasized that to ensure maximum variety performance it is of the utmost importance to closely follow the production and quality protocols.

With the collaboration of the ARRA agronomists team worldwide, Alysson demonstrated that the variety maintains it’s consistent characteristics when grown in different regions; rain-resistance, good eating quality, high and consistent fertility, good berry size and excellent shelf life.

Fruit Master’s General Manager, Mr. Mark Leng and National Operational Manager, Mr. Michael Lanteri also attended the seminar.

As Mark Leng noted, “It was extremely encouraging to have all our ARRA 15 growers attend our pre-season growers meeting. Alysson’s presentation will help ensure our learning curve is a quick and successful one.”

Sincere thanks

Grapa would like to thank Alysson and the entire Fruit Master team for the time and effort  they invested in presenting this important seminar and for sharing their experience and expertise with their growers.
