With the progression of autumn in Saluzzo, the reddish stalks occur as the nights become colder.

ARRA Mystic Dream’s (ARRA 32) adaptability to varying climatic conditions is clearly shown; from the Israeli desert to north Piedmont, the shape, colour and taste of this remarkable variety remain the same.

Autumn sees the harvests underway in Greece and in September, Rafi and Shachar joined up with Jupiter Marketing’s (master license holders for ARRA varieties in Greece) managing director, Mark Tweddle, consultant Andre Vermaak and regional procurement manager, Dimitris Theodorou to visit the ARRA growers in the Kavala region. Together, they were very impressed with this year’s crop of ARRA Mystic Dream (ARRA 32). In just its second year of production, this variety is already proving to be a winner in this area of the Mediterranean.

As well as ARRA Mystic Dream (ARRA 32), the Grapa and Jupiter teams also observed the vineyards of ARRA Sweeties™ (ARRA 15), ARRA Passion Glow™ (ARRA 19) and ARRA Passion Punch™ (ARRA 28).

ARRA Passion Punch™ (ARRA 28)

Harvesting late in the season at week 40-44, the ARRA Passion Punch (ARRA 28) in its second year of production is ripening in October as was predicted. With naturally large berries averaging 24 – 26 mm and excellent eating quality, this variety certainly packs a punch.

While in Greece, Rafi and Shachar visited ARRA producers Simvolo, where he noted among the Simvolo team much enthusiasm to learn and improve upon the ARRA production in the vineyards. Simvolo growers enjoy the benefit of packing ARRA Passion Glow (ARRA 19) together with ARRA Sweeties (ARRA 15), resulting in a colourful and eye-catching finished product.

Cheers!

Strengthening our ties not only through business but also through pleasure, the Jupiter and Grapa teams raise a glass to the ARRA programme in Greece.
