In this edition we are excited to feature our fruitful experience from the Fruit Logistica exhibition in Berlin, as well as share with you the excellent feedback received for ARRA Honey Pop™.
Fruit Logistica 2022 has flown by and what a great three days we had! It was amazing to gather again in real life and to meet our friends, licensees and colleagues from all over the world.
As always, it was an extraordinary opportunity to establish new contacts as well as to connect with producers, partners, exporters, importers and retailers.
After two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, the fresh produce sector was now able to travel to Berlin from around the world to finally come together in person once again.
The number of attendees was lower compared to the pre-Covid editions, but this gave us the opportunity to actually devote more time and focus to the meetings held at our stand.
As every year the stand is run jointly with AVI, our territorial representative in Europe, this year however, we were delighted to also be joined at our stand by Karl Conrads from Chile, our territorial representative for the ARRA™ varieties and Early Sweet™ in South America as well as AJ Jansen van Vuuren, Table Grape Manager at TopFruit (Pty) Ltd our territorial agent for the commercialization of the ARRA™ varieties and Early Sweet™ in Southern Africa.
Together with the Grapa Team they participated in many fruitful meetings held over the course of the 3 days of the exhibition and brought to the table their regional experience, knowledge and perspective.
Last week Sahyadri Farms held a field day for all the ARRA producers. Events like these provide the growers with even more tools, knowledge and support to continue to improve the production quality.
Grapa’s core is rooted on family values, Fruit Logistica, in effect, allows us the great opportunity to reunite with the global ARRA family; our partners and growers who contribute greatly to the ARRA programme’s significant presence in the worldwide table grape industry.
A big thanks goes to the friends, visitors and colleagues who came to see us at the Grapa stand. We look forward to welcoming you at the ARRA Field Days in California on July 14 and August 22-23.
ARRA Honey POP™ shows fantastic storage ability during its first commercial export.
ARRA Varieties were recently featured in Fresh Plaza and we are glad to report the amazing results obtained in South Africa with the very Early White ARRA Honey Pop™ upon its arrival in Germany at Global Fruit Point after almost six weeks of shipping.
“The past season, grape producers like all other producers, had to face global logistical challenges which meant in most cases, extended shipping time for fruit. ARRA 33 was no exception and was received in Germany on 13 January 2022, 6 weeks after harvest with rave reviews,” said AJ Jansen van Vuuren, table grape manager at Top Fruit.
