On the week of July 11-14, guests gathered under the fruitful vines at the breeding site and Giumarra Vineyards in Bakersfield to get a very early and early peek at some of the ARRA varieties. This year’s field day concept was a big and refreshing change from previous years. The event was spread over a whole week, allowing for small, tailor-made tours catered to each language and region. Each attendee had a chance to learn about their region’s growing conditions and specific market demands. The atmosphere was high as ARRA partners and potential licensees gathered from all over the world and mingled throughout the week. Languages from all corners of the world could be heard across the rows.

We were happy to see familiar faces join us again, and hope to see new and returning friends join us at the next ARRA Field Days in August.
